Regardless of where my future career takes me my goal is to ensure that I can help others reach their goals and provide for my family. Whether its friends, families or random people I will do everything in my power to help others.
My current goal is to graduate from KPU in Summer 2019. As it stands I have 3 more classes to complete and then I will be able to apply for graduation and I will have the required classes to apply to enroll in the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) in the Fall of 2019. With that enrolling in the CPA PEP comes the hardest challenge of my life in which I will need to both work full time and study for the CPA modules at the same time. Attending KPU has given me some base knowledge that will come in handy with the CPA PEP and certain classes like ACCT 4120 have also prepared me for CPA cases and not all institutions teach this course so I feel like I have a minor advantage thanks to KPU.
Something I aim to maintain regardless of my future career is a work-life balance. I am a firm believer that a proper balance between the two will allow me to live my best life. Money has never been a primary motivator in what I’ve done in life so far. Achieving a well-balanced life that will allow me to continue spending time with friends and family is vastly more important than money. A well-balanced life will allow for some more “me” time in which I can continue to grow as a person and partake in the things I enjoy. Achieving this balance has proven to be difficult at times while being a full-time student I have noticed tendencies to focus more on my life over the working aspect of this balance.
The first step in this process will be to starting working or volunteering part/full-time in an accounting firm over the summer to prepare me for what’s to come.
